Jimmy DeGrasso has been the driving force behind some of Rock
music’s most powerful and influential artists.
Shortly after initially moving to LA, he appeared on Ozzy Osbourne’s
“Ultimate Sin” album and once that news broke, he’s been busy ever since. DeGrasso has recorded and played with
Y&T, Suicidal Tendencies, Alice In Chains, Ronnie Montrose, Lita Ford,
David Lee Roth and was a full-time member of Megadeth. In various times of his career, his performed
and recorded with Rock legend Alice Cooper, appearing on his “Fistful Of Alice”
live album. Known as the quintessential
drumming pinch hitter, Jimmy has been
frequently called on last minute gigs, due to his innate ability to not only
learn the material quickly, but to master it like he’s been on the gig for
years. Most recently, powerhouse
rockers Dokken and Ratt have called on DeGrasso to provide the driving force
they needed. He’s been featured at some
of the world’s biggest drum festivals, including Modern Drummer Fest,
Australia’s Ultimate Drummer’s Weekend and the UK’s Drummer Live. Jimmy’s latest news is becoming a member of
Black Star Riders…the new incarnation of mega hit -makers Thin Lizzy. Soon to begin work on their sophomore release
with Def Leppard front man Joe Elliott as producer, the band is also gearing up
for an active touring schedule. IP is proud to welcome one of Rock music’s
most influential drummers and will plan to release a signature model very soon!
