Taylor Cash is currently serving as Associate Director of Bands and Director of Percussion Studies at Albertville High School in Albertville, Alabama. The Albertville “Aggie” Band will be marching in the upcoming 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. Taylor is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Jacksonville State University with special honors in Music Education. While at JSU, Taylor has had the privilege of studying percussion under Mr. Clint Gillespie. Taylor has performed with various ensembles while at JSU, including the Mallet Ensemble, Principal Percussionist for Chamber Winds and Wind Ensemble, Jacksonville Community Orchestra, Gadsden Symphony Orchestra, as well as recently conducting performances for the Jacksonville Opera Theater. He has also had the honor of performing with guest artists such as She-e Wu and Michael Burritt.

As a 5 year member of the Marching Southerners Drumline, He served 5 years as a member of the tenor line, 4 years as tenor line Section Leader, and 2 years as Drumline Captain. During his tenure with the Marching Southerners, Taylor arranged a portion of the 2008 and 2009 shows. Taylor was also tenor line Section Leader for SPIRIT Drum Corps in 2006. Taylor has had the privilege of marching under some of the best marching percussion instructors in the country, including: Clint Gillespie, Leif Marwede, Dan Milhalko, Max Mullinex, Jami' Fennell, and Tab Brown to name a few.

Taylor is an active percussion arranger, consultant, and instructor. He has worked with many different groups including: Oak Mountain High School, Trion High School, Albertville High School, McIntosh High School, Newnan High School, Paulding County High School, Cleburne County High School, Mt. Zion High School, and many more. Taylor is currently a percussion arranger for Bands in Motion, where he works with other arrangers including: Robert W. Smith, David Shaffer,and Steve Reineke. Most recently, Taylor has arranged percussion for a Homecoming Show for the 200th Anniversary of Miami University (OH).
