Tadashi Ushiyama is a well-known marching percussion instructor in Japan. He has experienced playing in wind orchestra and marching band percussions and has taught number of marching bands in Japan from Hokkaido to Okinawa prefecture that has contributed the growth of marching bands and drum corps markets in Japan.

He has assisted multiple high schools and junior high schools to establish marching bands throughout his career as a marching band educator and percussion instructor/arranger, including International Pacific University. With his contribution, bands under his direction are now competing at the All Japan Marching Band National Championships.

He is the director of Dynasty Japan and the percussion caption head of International Pacific University Marching Band.
