Sukhumpat “Pony” Kaewkhaw
If you’ve ever watched a major concert or festival in Thailand, chances are you’ve seen Sukhumpat “Pong” Kaewkhaw, also known as Pony, behind the drum kit — locking down grooves with confidence and explosive energy.
Pony is the touring drummer for Jeff Satur (Warner Music), Violette Wautier (Universal Music), and The Coban Production, known for bringing a bold yet musical presence to every stage he steps on. His versatility spans across Pop, Rock, R&B, Indie, Hip-Hop, and Fusion, allowing him to adapt to a wide range of artists and production styles.
International Touring Highlights:
In 2025, Pony was part of Violette Wautier’s 1st North American Tour, performing in Seattle, LA, San Francisco, New York, Washington, Chicago, and Vancouver. His festival credits include Clockenflap 2024 (Hong Kong) and Summer Sonic 2024 (Tokyo, Osaka, and Bangkok).
Earlier in 2024, he joined Violette’s Australia Tour in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, while also performing in Jeff Satur’s Space Shuttle No.8 Asia Tour — hitting stages in Taipei, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Kaohsiung, and Bangkok (UOB LIVE @ EmSphere).
His touring resume also includes James Alyn Wee across Taiwan, South Korea, and upcoming shows in China (Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Beijing), alongside Pami. In 2023, Pony toured with Hybs at Korea’s Have A Nice Trip Festival and Busan International Rock Festival, and performed in Taipei, Shanghai, and Hangzhou.
Pony’s first major concert was Jeff Satur Live On Saturn in 2023 at Royal Paragon Hall (Bangkok), followed by Jeff’s international debut in Indonesia, Singapore, and a landmark show in Brazil (Asia Star Festival, São Paulo). He also played You Better Love Me Concert (Violette’s first arena show at Thunder Dome) and Bounce to the Future Concert at IMPACT Arena, the comeback show of Golf-Mike after 14 years — a flagship production by The Coban.
Throughout Thailand, he’s a regular name on festival stages like Big Mountain, CAT Expo, CAT T-Shirt, and many more.

Origins:
Pony’s professional journey began with his top 8 placements in two elite drum competitions:
• Overdrive Drum Battle 2016 (Thailand)
• Singapore Drum Fest 2017
From there, he played with The TOYS, Be Peerapat, and River Rhyme — before moving into Thailand’s indie scene with acts like Scrubb, Pam Anshisa, and Marc Tatchapon. He later worked with K-otic, Soybad, and more, eventually becoming a core part of Jeff Satur and Violette Wautier’s teams.
Sticks & Sound
Pony proudly uses Innovative Percussion sticks, currently favoring the BNA-1 Nashville model.
“I first tried Innovative sticks with a standard 5B model and immediately felt a noticeable improvement in control and comfort. That initial experience led me to explore other models, and I eventually found the perfect fit with the BNA-1.
The slightly thicker grip and longer length give me a confident, stable feel, while the taper and round tip offer a smooth response and clarity across all playing dynamics. Whether I’m laying down grooves in Pop, R&B, or pushing harder in Rock or Fusion, this stick gives me the freedom and precision I need. It just feels right in my hands.
I also rotate through other models depending on the session or artist — but the BNA-1 always feels like home.”
