Ryan Treasure has been the Percussion Director at Fort Zumwalt North High School (3rd place St. Louis BOA Super Regional 2012-only Missouri band to place in their class) for 16 years, Assistant Band Director/Percussion Director at Fort Zumwalt East High School for 6 years, Director of “Modulation Z” (WGI and MCCGA (Gold Medalist PIA 2014)) for 5 years and was the Director of Marching Percussion at Lindenwood University for 2 years. Ryan has worked with, written for and consulted with many fine percussion programs in the St. Louis area and throughout the Midwest as well as schools in Louisiana, California, and Colorado. His percussion programs are highly regarded throughout the Midwest. Ryan continues to teach privately as well, with dozens of students becoming members of DCI/WGI groups, receiving countless Solo and Ensemble awards and becoming percussion educators/band directors themselves. He has written percussion for several original shows with Blue Devil Brass Caption Head John Meehan, nationally recognized Visual Consultant Keith “Ping” Dawson, and nationally recognized composer Don Barrett. Ryan is a member of the US Bands Judging Association, NAfME and has been a featured speaker about all things percussion at the Missouri Choir Directors Association State Convention.
As a performer, Ryan began his percussion performance career as a member and later Captain/Principal of the Truman State University Marching Gamblers, Wind Symphony, and Percussion Ensemble. He has studied with Jim Chapin and Dr. Michael Hooley. With over 2,000 performances already under his belt, Ryan’s various groups have opened for several national acts including Jefferson Starship, Night Ranger, Jim Chapin, Ravi Shankar, Lil’ Bow Wow, Johnnie Johnson, and Chris Duarte to name a few. Ryan has and continues to tour and perform throughout the United States with St. Louis’ premiere Rock/Pop/Dance band, New Crime Theatre. Ryan has also played on and recorded for countless artists as a studio musician in the St. Louis area.
Ryan graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music and received his Master of Arts Degree in Education from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. He achieved his “Lifetime Certification in Music Education K-12” in 2012.

Ryan resides in O’Fallon, Missouri with his wife, Tanya and their son, Teagan.
