Rich is the Director of Percussion for Capital City High School in Jefferson City, MO, and has been active as a percussion instructor, arranger, clinician, and adjudicator for over three decades. In four years of existence, CCHS has established itself as an outstanding percussion program, gaining several awards in marching and concert percussion throughout the state.

Rich holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Lincoln University (MO). He has studied with notable professors Scott Cameron and Christopher Shultis, and has had performance experiences with Clark Terry, Eddie Daniels, Conrad Herwig, and served as the Percussion Coordinator for the production “Ozark Stompin” at Silver Dollar City in Branson.

His experiences have covered various age groups and many levels of percussion performance. His extensive career includes a variety of positions and organizations, including Graduate Assistant of Percussion at the University of New Mexico and Missouri State University, and technician/arranger for the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps and the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. Rich currently serves as a percussion adjudicator for the Missouri State High School Activities Association and is a member of the Percussive Arts Scociety.
