RASHID WILLIAMS’ style and precision in drumming is recognized throughout the music industry. His dangerous combination of chops, groove and impeccable timing is undeniable. Rashid, a self- taught musician, began playing drums at the age of three and professionally for churches and choirs at the age of seven. Although not inclusive, Rashid is known for his talent and energy on the R&B stage. Music being the fabric woven throughout his family, he descends from a long line of musical talent, singers and musicians. Some of Rashid’s drumming influences are Elvin Jones, John Roberts, Brian Frasier Moore, Russ Miller and Phil Collins.

Rashid has been featured in Drumhead and Modern Drummer magazines.

In January 2018, Modern Drummer announced Rashid as winner of the 2018 Modern Drummer Reader’s Poll in the Modern Drummer R&B/Funk/Hip Hop category.

Rashid launched his company as CEO, Little Fat Jimmy, LLC, in Septembe of 2017. It is an organization that promotes the ideals of a better society for our youth.
