Michael Mann was recently named Director of Wind Studies and
Percussion at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
In addition to his position at Union, Mann is also the Conductor of
the Feast of Tabernacles International Orchestra for the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel.
He was formerly Director of the Marching Band at the University of
Miami, Florida, Associate Director of
Bands/Percussion Instructor at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette and Director of
Bands/Percussion Instructor at East Tennessee St. University.
A graduate of the University of Miami and Middle Tennessee St.
University, Mann was Percussion Coordinator of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps of Rockford, Illinois and was Assistant Band
Director of the Bands of America Grand Champion Herscher High School, Herscher, Illinois.
For over 25 years, Mann has performed in the Naples Philharmonic,
Naples, Florida as a section Percussionist and conducts bands and orchestras all across the U.S. He has
been an adjudicator for DCI, Bands of America and continues to write and
orchestrate for bands and orchestras around the world.
Mann has been a Clinician/Endorser of the Pearl Drum
Company since 1983. He is also an
Endorser for Zildjian Cymbal Co. and Innovative Percussion.
