Matthew Howell, a native of Memphis, TN, has been an active percussionist since 1997. His performance credentials include membership within World Class organizations in both WGI and DCI including Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps and Gateway Indoor. Matthew also performed in the University of Memphis PASIC Marching ensembles in 2004 and 2006.

Matthew has worked with multiple World Class organizations including Gateway Indoor, Tyler Junior College Indoor, Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps, Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps, Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and was recently the Battery coordinator for Palmetto Percussion from 2013-2015. Matt has currently served as the Battery Coordinator at Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps from Sacramento, CA since 2014.

Matthew just moved to the Houston area from Atlanta, GA and is still the Percussion Member-at-Large for SAPA, the Southern Association for Performance Arts indoor circuit which draws membership from Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Matt is the Percussion Director for North Shore High School. He is an active percussion arranger and visual designer/drill for multiple marching bands and indoor percussion ensembles in the southeast.
