As the drummer for Grammy winning international superstar Taylor Swift, Matt Billingslea is currently traveling on The 1989 Tour, performing for sold-out crowds as Swift headlines stadiums and arenas around the world. In addition to the tour, Matt’s performances with Swift have included the Grammy Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, the BRIT Awards, and numerous promotional appearances around the globe. 

Prior to joining Swift, Matt spent three years touring with multi-Grammy winners Lady Antebellum, and during that time co-wrote “Wanted You More,” a top-20 single from Lady A’s third album, Own The Night. Matt also toured with multi-platinum country star Gary Allan, headlining the Country Throwdown Tour and playing shows preparing for the release of his tenth album, Set You Free. 

A Nashville resident since 2005, Matt is a native of Westminster, Maryland. He started playing drums at age ten, and played in local and regional bands through high school.  He holds a Bachelor of Music from Capital University, with a double major in Jazz Studies and Music Industry.
