Matt Arnet has been involved with rudimental percussion as a performer, arranger, clinician and adjudicator for over 25 years. Matt spent one season (1997) as a performer with the University of Missouri’s “Marching Mizzou” and 4 seasons (1997-2000) performing with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps from Ft. Mill, SC. Matt served as section leader for the bass drum section in 1998 and 1999, and battery section leader in 2000. During his time with Crown Drums, Matt studied with Paul Rennick, Joe Fant and Jeff Queen, among many others.

Matt began teaching and arranging at his alma mater, Columbia Hickman HS in Columbia, MO in 1998 before relocating to Overland Park in 2001 to become the first percussion director at Blue Valley West HS. Matt currently serves as battery arranger/instructor at Blue Valley West. In 2009, Matt was approached by the Kansas City Chiefs to organize and found the “Rumble” Drumline, where he currently serves as director and arranger/performer. Matt proudly endorses Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets and has been an Innovative Percussion Educational Artist since 2006.
