This project strives to create a unique musical experience by performing and recording under-documented works, while continuing to learn and grow through collaboration and expression by commissioning works by new composers. Competitively, they earned 2nd place in the Southern California Marimba Competition in the open duo division in the summer of 2023, and they will be part of the Chamber Music Initiative at the Cortona Sessions for New Music in the summer of 2025.
As an educator, she has worked with a plethora of high schools in the Dallas area as a front ensemble technician, adjudicator for various solo and ensemble contests, and has given masterclasses. She is currently the paraprofessional for Lewisville High School and plans to be a front ensemble technician for the Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps in the summer of 2025.
Maddie plans to continue her studies by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Percussion Performance and Chamber Music at the University of Michigan in the fall of 2025, hoping to one day teach at the collegiate level. She is very passionate about performing new music and being a chamber musician, wishing to help realize composer's dreams of hearing their works live.
