Born in Toledo, Ohio, Louis began playing drums at the age of two, inspired by the artistry of his father—a respected drummer in the region. Surrounded by the sounds of Billy Cobham, Miles Davis, and Buddy Rich, Louis developed a deep foundation in both jazz and groove from an early age. He credits his father as his first major influence, alongside legends Dennis Chambers, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Ricky Lawson. 

That foundation has propelled Louis into an accomplished career, performing and touring with some of the most celebrated names in music. His credits include Patti LaBelle, Ledisi, and Jeff Lorber, as well as extensive tours with Dwelé, Johnny Gill, Gladys Knight, and Rahsaan Patterson. Known for his precision, musicality, and ability to adapt seamlessly across genres, Louis has become a trusted drummer for artists at the highest level. 

When not on tour, Louis maintains a busy schedule performing at premier live music destinations throughout Atlanta, where he continues to collaborate with a wide range of today’s most respected performers.
