Lee Allman is a freelance percussionist and educator specializing in marimba, marching percussion and composition. He earned a B.M. in Percussion Performance at the Jacob's School of Music at Indiana University where he studied with John Tafoya, Kevin Bobo, Steve Houghton and Michael Spiro.
Currently, Lee is the front ensemble technician with the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps. In addition, he instructs the front ensemble at Franklin Central High School and maintains a private studio throughout Indianapolis.
Lee Started his percussion career in middle school at the age of thirteen and marched for the Teal Sound Drum & Bugle Corps and Indianapolis Independent Percussion Ensemble while still in high school. He then continued by marching for the Bluecoats in 2006-2009 where he served as the front ensemble section leader in 2008 and 2009. Lee ended his marching career by marching the marimba line of Music City Mystique in 2001.
