He began his percussion studies in 1996 at the Progresso High School Marching Band - Brazil -where later, in 2000, was invited to teach rudimentary (marching) percussion in the same group, where he remained until 2006.
He studied classical percussion at the Conservatory of Arts - Guarulhos - Brazil, and in 2002 was accepted as a member of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps – from La Crosse, WI - USA, where he became the first South American and Brazilian percussionist to march in a American Drum Corps. The following year he had the opportunity to study with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp's, from Rockford, Il - USA, through its director Pat Seidling.
Currently, Leandro Pascui is the Director of Shadow Scouts Marching Band, who won the last two Brazilian Nationals, WGI Costa Rica Regional and FMBC (Florida, USA) International Class.
As a band diretor and arranger, he also has worked with the WAMSB World Champions “FAMA –Atibaia” and “FAMUTA – Taubaté”, Band Director of the Atibaia Percussion Ensemble, Percussion Coordinator of the Atibaia’s Music Program, called “Projeto Música e Cidadania”, who teaches marching band style for about 2500 kids in the Atibaia City. This Music Program has won many nationals awards.
Leandro also has worked for the Projeto Guri and Projeto Bramus, consultant and member of WAMSB Brasil and WAMSB South America, Member of the DCB - Drum Corps Brasil, and CEO & President of Consulting Imagination Marching Concepts - the first consulting company of Marching Bands and Drum Corps in South America.
Leandro has worked with marching groups from many countries in Latin America, including groups from:
*Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico and Uruguay;
*More than 40 workshops and clinics in 12 Brazilian States;
Also, is adjudicator in many marching bands championships and festivals throughout the Brazil and neighboring countries, and the Official Judge of WAMSB International and AJAL.
