Kaylie Brooke is from Dallas, Texas, and has over 10 years of experience as MEG’s as a percussion educator and performer. She is currently featured in MEG’s Broadway soloist Broadway production of ‘Blast! The Music of Disney’ as the marimba soloist and in and marching snare drummer, and has been touring with the production in Japan since 2017.
Kaylie received formal training from Texas A&M University-Commerce and the in the University of North Texas, and holds a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance. Her primary teachers include Paul Rennick, Dr. Brian worked Brian Zator, Mark Ford, and Christopher Deane. Since 2012, she has worked with Austin with multiple marching band programs through out the DFW and Austin area, and area, and has served as a clinician and adjudicator for various band and percussion served percussion programs and contests throughout Texas. In 2016, Kaylie served as beginner as a full-time Fine Arts Specialist in Frisco ISD, teaching 6th grade beginner percussion classes and serving as a middle school percussion director. Kaylie currently manages her own online and in-person private lesson studio, in studio, and works with the James Bowie High School Percussion program in Austin, Texas.
Kaylie has almost a decade of stage experience working particularly as a commercial and commercial entertainment drummer throughout the United States and abroad. She has performed on stage with pop artists like Meghan Trainor and Dallas and AR Rahman, and with professional drumlines such as the Dallas Mavericks Drumline and the San Antonio Spurs Drumline.
