Justin Baker serves as Percussion Director and Assistant Band Director for Brenham High School in Brenham, Texas. He teaches percussion to a range of students from 6th grade through 12th grade at Brenham Middle, Brenham Junior High, and Brenham High School. In the fall semesters, he instructs the Brenham High School Marching Percussion and Front Ensemble where they have consistently received top marks at marching contest from around the state. He also directs Percussion Ensemble activities at the High School and Junior High School levels where they perform repertoire from a wide range of difficulty. Justin Baker holds Music Performance degrees from Columbus State University Schwob School of Music (B.M.) and Texas Tech University (M.M.).

Prior to teaching in Brenham, Justin Baker served as a graduate teaching assistant at Texas Tech University. His roles there included instructing the drumline and front ensemble for the Goin’ Band, was director of the Percussion Ensemble II, and taught the Percussion Methods class as well as performing in many of the top level performing ensembles. Mr. Baker also taught at various high school and middle schools as a marching band/drumline tech and a private lessons teacher.

Justin Baker has also performed with many local orchestras and wind bands including: the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra, the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, The Big Spring Symphony Orchestra, the Midland/Odessa Symphony Orchestra and the Brazos Valley Wind Ensemble.
