Jay Wheeler is an independent drummer based in Fresno, California, currently performing with the local band Unlikely and the regional band Whitewolf. With Unlikely, Jay has released four singles and completed four tours, opening for acts such as Tiny Moving Parts, Ridgeway, Glacier Veins, and Cheridomingo. Jay has also taken the stage with TikTok artist Lit Frank, further broadening their reach as a live performer.

Outside of performing, Jay is building a distinct presence on social media by combining drumming with entertainment and candid discussions about the industry at the local and regional level. Their content includes the widely recognized Drum Ick series, as well as covers and collaborations that showcase creativity, humor, and musicianship.

As an educator, Jay draws on nearly a decade of experience leading drumlines in the school district, where they transformed programs from the ground up into top-three competitors. Now running a private studio, they continue that work by mentoring drummers of all ages, with a focus on both technical growth and confidence behind the kit.
