Zach Allen is a Nashville based drummer and percussionist originally from Atlanta. Before moving to Nashville, Zach attended Jacksonville State University where he obtained his bachelors degree in Music Education. There he studied drum set/percussion under Dr. Thomas McCutchen and Mr. Clint Gillespie. After graduation, Zach taught and gigged around the Atlanta area. He also joined the percussion staff of Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps where he instructed the tenor line during their 2017 season.
Zach moved to Nashville shortly after that season and found steady work as a live and session drummer playing with acts such as Forever Johnny Cash Tribute, Whole Lotta Zeppelin Tribute and other country artists. During his first couple of years in town Zach also worked for the Pearl Corporation. Working for Pearl has allowed Zach to form strong relationships with the company and even become the face of the Compact Traveler Drum Kit.
For the past three years Zach has been touring full time with various artists. He has sat in and subbed for artists such as Jason Crabb, Michael Tait, Blanca and Zach Williams. Currently, Zach is touring with Capitol recording artist Riley Clemmons. Zach has been Riley’s drummer for a few years now and with her growing career and already half a billion global streams the future is looking very bright.
