Tyler Broadhurst has been a band director in the State of Texas since 2015, and a music educator since 2010. Percussion students and bands under his direction have consistently been awarded top honors in Indoor Percussion, UIL, All-Region, and Solo & Ensemble. He is responsible for the education of all percussion students at Tomball High School, Tomball Junior High, Creekside Park Junior High, and Tomball Intermediate School. 

Mr. Broadhurst has been an active performer and an educator in the Marching Arts community for over a decade. He was a member of both the Troopers and Revolution Drum & Bugle Corps (DCI), Troopers Legacy Corps (All-Age), a battery technician for Red River Rhythm Independent (WGI), and has spent the past several years teaching multiple Texas state-level marching band programs. 

In 2018, Tyler founded the East Texas Drumline Camp as an opportunity to grow the percussion community and raise the skill level of percussionists in that area. In 2021, the camp continued as a multi-tiered percussion symposium within Texas A&M Commerce Summer Camps in partnership with Stryvemind Percussion. 

Mr. Broadhurst holds a Bachelor of Music from Henderson State University, and is a member of TBA, TMEA, PAS, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
