Kevin
Jankowski was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee where he attended Father
Ryan High School from 2003-2006. Kevin Performed with the Marching band and
Indoor drumlin all four years. In 2005 and 2006 Kevin performed in the PASIC
Marching Snare solo competition where he placed 10th and 5th respectively. In
2008, Kevin marched with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corp under the direction of
Glen Crosby with instructors Ryan Masters and Fred Smith. The following year
Kevin marched with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corp where his instructors
included Carl Epplar, Brian Tinkel, Jim Ancona, and Jim Casella.
Kevin
went to school at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville where he received a
degree in Music Education under professor Mark Douglass. Kevin went on to teach
the University of Tennessee Pride of the Southland Marching Band for two years
before moving back to Nashville to teach at John Overton High School, W.H.
Oliver Middle School, and Father Ryan High School. Kevin also helped instruct
the Chattanooga Independent Percussion Ensemble in 2012 who received a silver
medal at WGI World Championships in PIA Class.
Kevin
is currently the Band Director at Springfield High School in Springfield, TN.
He is currently Engaged to be married to his future wife Heather Nagy. He is
excited about getting married and starting his professional carrier as a
teacher.
