Avery Lane Melucci is an accomplished quad drummer, who has had the opportunity to gain insight from some of the greatest quad minds seen in recent history. Being taught by the likes of Josh "Wolfman" King, Eric "Fro-man" Ridenour, Nick “Fatty Salmon” Beaudet, Jack Holway, and many other amazing teachers has given him a priceless “Quad education”, diving deep into the art that is quad drumming. He has marched with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps in 2013, and with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
“The art of quad drumming has become a lifelong passion of mine, I want to do whatever I can to preserve the past, and secure the future of this unique niche in the drumming community.”
Along with his playing experience he has also had the opportunity to gain teaching experience in the Drum Corps International activity as well, having taught the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps quad line in both 2018, and 2019, the Music City Drum Corps quad line in 2023, and now The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps quad line in 2024 and beyond.
While quad drumming is his life’s love, Avery is also an accomplished drum set player and teacher. While his broadcasting range has remained local to the Tampa Bay area in the great state of Florida, the hopeful dreams to make this aspect of his playing and teaching become nationwide are very apparent. Avery is currently operating his private lessons studio, by appointment only, in his home of Clearwater, Florida. He also offers many other services to the pageantry drumming community. These include drum clinics, guest teaching experiences, percussion arranging for the Fall and Winter marching seasons, and much more.
“As someone who has trusted Innovative’s products from the inception of my drumming career, I am extremely honored and motivated to be joining such a star-studded roster of artists. The opportunity to represent everything that both myself and Innovative stand for in the percussion community truly has me excited for what’s to come in the future!”
