Ryan has degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from Miami University and is currently a band director in the Sycamore Community Schools in Cincinnati, OH.  

Ryan has been on the instructional staff with three-time WGI gold medalist RhythmX since 2007, the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps since 2009 and has worked as an instructor or arranger with Centerville High School, Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, Mason High School, Miamisburg High School, Middletown High School, and Pearl High School.
