Gordy Knudtson is the long time drummer for the Steve Miller Band; founder and head of the Percussion Department at McNally Smith College in St. Paul, Minnesota; and president/owner of GK-Music.com.  Prior to Steve Miller, Gordy toured and recorded with jazz artist Ben Sidran and toured with blues guitar legend Roy Buchanan.  He has authored many drum instruction method books including the first ones to be written and published about the Open/Close Technique.  Gordy, and his company GK Music, pioneered the use of hearing protection sterio headphones fro drummers in the mid 90's.  Ultraphones, his current model, are used by many top professional musicians throughout the country.  For more information, please visit his website at http://www.gk-music.com/
