Gianni Di Carlo

Born in 1974. At the age of 10 he discovered the world of drums and percussions studying first with M° Santone Salvatore (drummer and percussionist), and later with M° Antonio Santangelo (president of PAS Italia) who will guide him the whole course of study up to the diploma in Percussion Instruments obtained at the Conservatory "U. Giordano "of Foggia in 1998.

Deepens the studies of the military drum and the rudiments in Switzerland in Basel; where he specialized on the Berger notation system, on the technical development of the military drum and on the interpretation and rhythmic application of the most adopted styles from the modern DRUM LINE formations (American, Swiss and Scottish). He perfected on the drums with Ettore Mancini, attending the upper courses for 4 years. With the same M ° Mancini he obtains a Master on didactics and the improvement on the drum (2012).

In 2000 he won, as Percussionist, the competition organized by the National Army Band, where he is currently employed, and with whom he holds concerts in the most prestigious theaters and squares both in Italy and abroad: Opera di Roma, San Charles of Naples, Scala of Milan, Malibran of Venice, Massimo and Politeama of Palermo, Rockefeller Center of New York, Lodyle New Jarsey, Roman Theater of Alexandria of Egypt, Lyon (Berlioz festival) etc.

Resident in Albano Laziale (Rome) for about 19 years, Gianni Di Carlo, and engaged in an intense teaching and seminar as a teacher of drums, drum and percussion, collaborating with several music schools in Rome. He teaches drums in his private studio in Albano Laziale; Dik Drum Studio. He has a didactic dispensation for the study of drums and drum, developed over the years, containing solo pieces, different transcriptions and arrangements of the songs that have made the history of drums and music in general.
