Gary Rudolph earned is Bachelor's in Music Education at the University of Kentucky, where he studied under professor Jim Campbell. He went on to complete his Master's in Music Performance at Miami University (OH) where he studied under Dr. William Albin, and Dr. Chris Tanner.

From 1994-1996 Gary was a front ensemble member of the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. In 1995 he was awarded the Zildjian Cymbal player award, and in 1996 he earned the honorary Steve Brubaker scholarship. From 1999 to 2004 Gary was an instructor for the front ensemble. During his time in the corps the Cavaliers were awarded five World Championship Titles, three Best Percussion titles, and three Percussion Ensemble Championships.

Beginning in 2000 Gary is the Director of Percussion at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, where the Marching Band, Winter Drumline, and Percussion Ensemble all have active performance schedules.

Gary is also actively serving on the Indiana Percussion Association's board of directors.
