Garrett Woosley

Garrett Woosley is a percussion educator from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Garrett started with music 6th grade band class, and he later joined the Central Hardin High School Marching Band in 8th grade. 

Garrett continued his musical journey at the University of the Cumberlands, where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. During his time there, he served as drumline section leader for three years and contributed to the university’s chapter of cNAfME, which won a National Award for Service while he was an officer. He also performed in the KMEA Intercollegiate Band twice, as well as performing at the Kentucky Day of Percussion. 

Throughout his career, Garrett has taught at several schools across Kentucky and Tennessee, including South Laurel High School, Williamsburg Independent Schools, and Grayson County High School, where he currently serves as the Director of Percussion. Additionally, he teaches private lessons in Hardin County and works with North Hardin High School’s percussion section. He also helped establish a community percussion ensemble in Williamsburg, Kentucky that served underserved students in Southeastern Kentucky and Tennessee.
