David is currently the Assistant Band Director and Percussion Instructor throughout the Fayetteville School District where he directs band at Woodland Junior High, teaches beginning percussion classes at McNair Middle School, as well as instructs percussion for the marching band and concert bands at Fayetteville High School.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky in 2011 with a degree in music education under the tutelage of James Campbell. 

As a performer, David was a member of the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps Front Ensemble in 2009.  He also has performed in a Collegiate Percussion Ensemble Showcase Concert at PASIC 2007 as a member of the University of Kentucky Percussion Ensemble.  David has traveled extensively throughout the Southeastern region as the steel pan and percussionist for the Trop-Rock band, The Conch Republic.  He also performed across China with the University of Kentucky Wind Ensemble. 

As an educator prior to his position in Fayetteville, he was a band and percussion director in Bryant Arkansas. David also taught at the KMEA 16-time Marching Band 5A Champions, Lafayette High School in Lexington Kentucky. He was a teaching assistant at the percussion session at Birch Creek Music Performance Center in Door County Wisconsin during the summer of 2011. David has also taught steel pan and percussion to under-privileged students through the Central Music Academy in Lexington.
