Dai Quan L Davis is an Up and coming drummer/ Producer from the Bronx has been playing drums since the Age of 2. It all started on his parent’s kitchen floor banging on pots and pans and tables. Born into a family of gifted musicians and singers it was evident that he was born a drummer. As time passed DaiQuan payed very close attention to his older brother Danny practice making him more eager to play, he would cry until Danny picked him up and let him play cutting into his practice time,

As time went on, DaiQuan received a chance to show off his talents at his family church St Luke AME Church at the age of 5. This was the start of his church career. He then began playing percussion along side his older brother and would be allowed to play the actual kit during offering. He was also given the chance to play percussion for his Grandparents group The Faithful Harmonizers Seniors and his aunts and mother group The Faithful Harmonizer Jr’s. When his elder brother decided to Move to North Carolina in 2000 DaiQuan was given the opportunity to be the drummer for his home church and his family Group, this made him practice more allowing him to get better at his craft and take his talents to the next level. He got accepted to Adlai E Stevenson where he was the drummer for the Jazz band, Gospel Choir and hip hop band, and Playing drums on the high school stage gave him the Vision of wanting to become a Professional traveling musician. At the age of 14 He changed churches and joined The Lords Church under the leadership of world-renowned Preacher/singer/songwriter Bishop Eric McDaniel. Here is where he began to sit under his Mentor Danny ford. This is also where he was introduced to Production as time progressed he became more influenced by Producers, Dr Dre, Pharrell, Swizz Beats, Devonte Swing, Rodney Jerkins and his God brother Vaughn Branch. Vaughn raised him to open his ears and find his creative side. One day in youth choir rehearsal DaiQuan was complaining on how the music was boring, It needed more and Vaughn said to him “You know what, I am going to teach you how to produce so you can stop complaining and create your own music”. 2007 is the year the producer was born.

Being a member of this church he was introduced playing on records and sharing the stage with some of the biggest stars in Gospel music such as Bishop Hezekiah Walker, JJ Hairston, Marvin Sapp and more. In the year 2011 while working in his studio he received a call from Producer/ tour drummer Antwon “Amadeus” Thompson to sub a gig for Atlantic Artist Grammy nominee singer/ songwriter Trey Songz.  This opportunity has opened many doors traveling the world, and sharing the stage with artist such as Estelle, Eve, Maxwell, and more. He is still working with Trey whenever called. He is the drummer for traveling corporate/ wedding band Lmusik also known as Sound House Band. This band has done parties for Macys, Michael Kors, and a lot more. Being apart of this band keeps his calendar full all year round; He is looking to continue his musical career as a touring musician, producer, studio drummer, teacher and even an Inspiration to young guys coming up from the Bronx and all over the world.
