Mr. Clay Roesler is from San Antonio, TX and is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 2021. During his college career, he has performed in three university ensembles, including the Oklahoma Christian University Symphonic Band, Chamber Orchestra and Steel Drum Ensemble. Furthermore, he had the pleasure of performing with the University of Central Oklahoma Percussion Studio and attending professional development events like the University of Oklahoma Steel Pan Festival.
In addition to his involvement with music, he holds a true passion for the marching arts. Clay Roesler was a contracted front ensemble member of Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps (2020-2021) and is currently on The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps Administration Team. Student teaching allowed him to work with Mustang High School (Mustang, OK), Mustang Central Middle School, Meadow Brook Intermediate Elementary School and Mustang Valley Elementary School. In addition to student teaching, Clay Roesler’s teaching experience includes working as a freelance private percussion lesson instructor and serving as a Percussion Technician for Douglas MacArthur High School, San Antonio (his Alma Mater) and Veterans Memorial High School (San Antonio). Two years prior, Clay Roesler served as the Director of Percussion at Alvin High School in Alvin, TX and now serves as an Assistant Band Director/Director of Percussion at Harker Heights High School in Harker Heights, TX.
Clay Roesler’s professional affiliations include, Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Percussive Arts Society, as well as a proud endorser of Innovative Percussion Inc. and Zildjian Cymbals.
