Bryan Winningham is an active percussion educator performer. Bryan received his Master’s Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Kentucky, where he studied under Professor James Campbell. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin, graduating Summa Cum Laude and studying with Professor Nancy Mathesen and Dr. Julie Hill.

Bryan is an alumnus of Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps, and has extensive performing experience in percussion ensemble, orchestra, steel band, and Balinese gamelan. As an educator, Winningham has taught percussion in many successful programs in Tennessee and Kentucky, including the 14-time State Champion Lafayette Band from Lexington, Kentucky. Bryan has also been an instructor for the Music Institute of Lexington. In the summer of 2008, Bryan was a front ensemble instructor for the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps.

Bryan is currently the Assistant Director of Bands/Percussion instructor for the Brenham Independent School District in Brenham, Texas. His duties include arranging for and teaching the marching percussion ensemble, teaching concert percussion ensembles at the high school and junior high school, teaching beginning percussion at the middle school, and private instruction at the high school and junior high school.
