Britton Wood was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska where he attended Omaha Burke High School, the music program in which his career in the Marching Arts started. During his 4 years there, they received numerous percussion awards under the direction of Colts Drum Corps and Berklee alumni Dana Murray. Starting in 2010 at the age of 16, Britton joined an Independent WGI ensemble Dojo Percussion on Quads, which was also from his hometown and directed by Dana as well. From the start, he fell in love with the group and continued to serve as Section Leader of the Quad Line for 4 seasons, 2010-2013, also competing in all 3 WGI Independent Classes with Dojo during that time. After his last season with Dojo in 2013, Britton went on to march for Colts Drum & Bugle Corps that upcoming summer. For the following two summers of 2014 and 2015, he continued & finished his outdoor career with Phantom Regiment, serving as Section Leader of the Quads during his 2015 age-out season. After taking the 2014-15 indoor seasons off, he returned to the indoor scene by moving to Nashville, Tennessee and marching Music City Mystique for his 2016 age-out, as well as working as an employee for Innovative Percussion during his time living there.

Britton is currently living back in Omaha, where he gives private lessons to students from multiple music programs in the area, as well as instructing Millard North High School, Fremont High School and Dojo Percussion this upcoming season.
