Drummer and percussionist for the first national tour of the revised Broadway musical Peter Pan, Brian hails from Pittsburgh, PA, where he began playing drums at age 10. His early studies in drum set and percussion with Rick Dior of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra led to his acceptance into the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where he earned a degree in Percussion Performance and trained under Allen Otte, Jim Culley, and Rusty Burge of the Percussion Group Cincinnati.
At CCM, Brian studied Tabla with Jim Feist, later traveling to India to study Mridangam. Alongside his passion for hand percussion, drumset, and orchestral percussion, Brian loves the technical side of creating music, working with synthesizers and digital audio programming.
Brian’s career includes serving as the drummer/percussionist for the national tours of The Sound of Music and Bandstand, touring with Nashville-based rock band Lovedrug, and recording drums for a Billboard-charting album. A memorable highlight was performing with Blue Coupe, where he joined Dennis Dunaway and Joe Bouchard of Blue Öyster Cult—cowbell in hand.
