Brandon Brooks started playing percussion from an early age. His mom, a former band director and percussionist, suggested he take up the oboe. He said "NO".

Brandon is a graduate of the University of the Kentucky Percussion Studio.

He is an alumni of Star Of Indiana Drum and Bugle Corps

From Kentucky he went on to teach at the award winning Klein High School and several middle schools from the same district in Houston, TX. 

After Houston, Brandon moved to Nashville, TN where he taught, performed with multiple groups, worked at Innovative Percussion and eventually Mapex Drums.

Now living in Central KY, Brandon teaches privately and is the Percussion Coordinator for Scott County High School, Great Crossing High School and the corresponding middle schools.
