Big Tez Sherard resides in the Upstate region of South Carolina where he was born and raised and started his musical roots. Born 1982 and already taking the stage by age 5 Big Tez begin his career like many in this region , In church playing southern gospel.
He later became the drummer for a well-known regional R&B, Soul part band called Still Cruzin where he got his first taste of serious regional and national travels. After an 8 yr. stint w/ Still Cruzin Big Tez was offered yet another amazing opportunity to become first call drummer for the platinum artist Edwin McCain & his soulful / rock roots Band. It was love at first site for both Big Tez and the members of EMB. He would then go on to become a world traveler , touring the States numerous times and hitting 13 or more continents and countries over the last 8 years , along with EMB releasing the recent 2013 Greatest Hits live album through the Sony record label . During these 8 years Big Tez has recorded w/ numerous national figures and played short yearly stints/tours w/ other national bands like South Carolina native Mac Arnold and plate full of blues, Wanda Johnson, Rickey Godfrey and currently Steve Watson's latest jazz soul album "Heat it Up "that's blazing on the smooth jazz charts and filled the guest appearances of some of the baddest players ever.
Big Tez has also jumped in the life coaching and management position with several prominent bands in the upstate area that he can be seen performing w/ any given day or night such as The Jamie Wright Band , Zataban , CSP, Solution Band ." It’s been a real blessing to travel the world and meet people doing something I love such as music " Says Big Tez, and " at only the age of 33 , I plan to keep it going as long as the good lord see fit"!
