Andrew Chunn serves as the Assistant Band Director at Oakland High School, where his percussion ensemble consistently receives accolades, including selection to perform at the Tennessee Music Educators Association State Conference (2025), the Percussive Arts Society Tennessee Day of Percussion (2025), and the Middle Tennessee State University Percussion Ensemble Showcase (2024, 2025). His ensemble has also been back-to-back winners of the PAS University of Tennessee Percussion Festival (2024, 2025) and has consistently had numerous students selected for the Tennessee All-State Band, Orchestra, and Percussion Ensemble.
In addition to his responsibilities at Oakland High School, Andrew serves as the Battery Coordinator at Audio Theater, previously worked as a visual instructor for the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, founded the inaugural Smyrna Elementary School Choir, maintained a vibrant private lessons studio, and consulted with various percussion ensembles across Tennessee.
Andrew has received international recognition at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, including 1st Place Snare Ensemble (2014), 1st Place Concert Chamber Percussion Ensemble (2016), and a Marching Percussion Clinic presentation with Keith Dudek (2017). His marching performance experience includes playing snare drum with The Cadets (2016) and The Colts (2014, 2015). His WGI experience includes Atlanta Quest (2015, 2016) and Palmetto Percussion (2014).
As an active performer and recording artist in Nashville, Tennessee, Andrew has participated in recording sessions, including Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller Tour and EA Sports’ College Football 25. He has performed on the 2015 Country Music Association Awards Show, shared the stage with superstar artists such as Ariana Grande, Carrie Underwood, and Little Big Town, and currently performs as a member of the Tennessee Titans "Blue Crew" Drumline.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Music from Middle Tennessee State University, and his professional affiliations include the Percussive Arts Society, Tennessee Music Educators Association, Tennessee Bandmasters Association, and the Middle Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association.
