Akarapon Shukla (Pon) is a drummer/songwriter for the Alternative pop rock band Chilax from Bangkok, Thailand. He is also a backup drummer for Scrubb (Indie pop band since 2000 and a drum teacher).
He started playing drums since he was 14 years old as a hobby. He discovered himself that he wants to be an artist and a professional drummer in the third year of university (Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Innovation, Faculty of Humanities). So he decided to put all the effort into drumming from that point on.
A short time later in 2021, he formed a band named Chilax with his friends and released their own song as an independent artist. Today, Chilax is an artist under Tero Music, Thailand. The band has been known for the popular songs such as "Kho Ther Ya", "Chan Nilae Khon Uen", "Dai Yang", "Chep Tae Mai Cham", and viral content on their social media.
In 2022, he had the opportunity to be a fifth generation backup drummer of Scrubb. He joined the 24th anniversary solo concert Light Heavy Weight Concert and toured internationally from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, China, Japan (Tokyo, Osaka), Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, to London.
