Earning a position in one of the Texas All-State bands is a very highly regarded accomplishment. The audition process consists of several extremely
competitive rounds, which may be quite a difficult task. Those who become selected will have the honor of performing at the annual TMEA Clinic/Convention in
San Antonio, TX.
Innovative Percussion artist, Dr. Thomas Burritt, has compiled a series of video clips that outlines preparation techniques of the Texas All-State audition
materials. Dr. Burritt is Professor of Percussion at the University of Texas-Austin.
