Eliel Lazo was born in November 1st, 1983.
- Studied music ( Bass) at the Alejandro Garcia Caturla music school.
- Studied percussion with Oscar Valdes, former singer and percussionist of the famous afrocuban band ''IRAKERE''.
- At the age of 14 started his professional carrier, playing with ''Son del Patio'' traditional cuban son band (on bongos and congas), also with salsa band ''Salsa FF'' (on congas)
- At the age of 16 started to play with Diakara under the direction of Oscar Valdes.
- At The age of 17 started his international carrier, Playing with Impacto Cubano band, under the direction of Carlos del Puerto, former IRAKERE bass player. He participated in many international festivals as Pori Jazz, Copenhagen Jazz festival, Roskilde festival, Tokyo Jazz festival, and many others.
- In 2001 he started playing with Habana ensemble under the direction of Cesar Lopez, former IRAKERE sax player.
- At the age of 19 he won the prize for the best cuban percussionist at the international percussion festival PERCUBA 2003.
- In 2004 he played with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Dianne Reeves, Dave Holland, Brian Blade and many others at theTokyo Jazz festival.
- In 2004 and 2005 he played with Danish Radio Bigband of Denmark and BBC Bigband of United Kingdom. He also participated in many different Summer and winter camps, where he played and teach together with Airto Moreira, Jonh Patitucci, Bobby Hutcherson, Louie Bellson, Jeff Ballard and others.
- In 2005 and 2006 released his 2 first CDs ''Art ensemble of havana'' (commode depots, Japan) and Blanco Y Negro ( Stunt records, Denmark) with collaborations from multi grammy winner Chucho Valdes, Jose Luis ( Changuito) Quintana, Oscar Valdes, Cesar Lopez and many of cuban famous musicians living in Cuba at that time.
- In 2007 kept playing with the Danish Radio Bigband wish at the time, had many guest artist as Benny Golson, Richard Bona, Mike Stern, Bob Mintzer and many others.
- In 2008 Move to Denmark and start playing with 60th famous Danish Band '' The Savage Rose'' , and Famous danish guitarist's Band, '' Mikkel Nordsø Band'' , touring once again all over Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Greenland.
- In 2010 he played with Brad Mehldau and Gretchen Parlato during Denmark's winter Jazz camp.
- In 2010, 2011 and 2012 started playing at season 5, 6 and 7 of the danish television show '' Vild Med Dans'' (Dancing with the stars)
- In 2011 released his 3rd album ''Eliel Lazo el Conguero'' ft Cucho Valdes, Raul Rekow, Alexander Abreu, Marvin Diz and many others. Also in 2011, he won the price for the best world music album of the year, during the Danish Music Awards. That same year, he also create his band ''Eliel lazo el conguero Band'' and Eliel Lazo stet. During 2011 and 2012, Eliel lazo bandhave been playing in many clubs, venues and festivals in Denmark, Italy, sweden, Poland, Switzerland and Norway.
- In 2012 he played with some of the top Jazz, Pop, Hiphop and Rock danish artist.
